我終於要完成我今年的願望前往清邁了真的好期待. 本來訂了Air Asia預計出發時間是周五的凌晨, 但出發時間剛好會遇到水燈節所以安全因素提早到下午就出發. 不過也因為有班機時間異動讓我們能體驗到水燈節. 也能住到此趟我覺得印象最深刻的住宿 – Nanan House.
Finally, I am going to fulfill my dream to travel to Chiang Mai for glamping. Originally we are taking Airasia flight bound in Friday midnight. But due to the Loy Krathong festival, there will be lots of floating lantern on the sky at night. Therefore, due to safety issue our flight has rescheduled early in the afternoon. But luckily because of the change, we got to experience the Loy Krathong festival. And it give us the opportunity to stay with Nanan house for the extra night.
第一次坐Air Asia,聽聞他們的飛機餐很好吃. 所以特別加購了飛機餐來吃看看,果然沒有失望真的很不錯. 出發這天天氣很好,在飛機往外看太陽光灑在綿密的雲層好奇幻. 帶著興奮的心情抵達了清邁,出了機場感受到溫暖的空氣. 民宿有告知會來機場載我們,不過由於天燈節有遊行太塞無法準時來接我們. 但他們很貼心的請了計程車來載我們. 前往民宿的路上真的很熱鬧,張燈結綵的燈飾,家家戶戶都在點燈. 抬頭往天空一望這個景象實在驚人,點點的天燈正在天空飛揚.
This is my first time to take airasia flight, I was heard they got tasty plane meal. So I pre-booked the meal to see if it is as good as my friend said. I would say the plane meal does not let me down, it is the best one I ever had. The weather is great when we take off, When we fly over the cloud I see the sun reflecting on the fluffy cloud. I am super excited about this trip, I can feel the warm breeze when we step out the airport. Initially Nanan house will come to pick us up in the airport, but due to the heavy traffic they cannot come by in person. They are really sweet and help us to call the cab. On the way to the city center, it is really busy with full of crowd. Lots of lantern hanging everywhere, houses lid up the candles. The most amazing is the infinite lanterns flying on the sky. It feels like I am in one of my fantasy dream.
水燈節（Loy Krathong）是在每年的泰歷12月15日舉行. 主要是要來祭祀河神,祈求接下來這一年風調雨順,平平安安. 為期3-4天, 如果時間剛好有遇到可以參加天燈萬人齊放的儀式. 每天都會有不同的活動和遊行,許多寺廟都會有點燈儀式. 我們一到之後民宿主人很熱情的替我們做Check-in. 很突然的說我們可以快點加入製做水燈的行列. 有幾位中國的女生已經在製做水燈了, 我們也很懵懂的坐下來,民宿爺爺邊講故事邊教大家怎麼做. 覺得實在是太有趣了,一抵達都還沒回神就在做水燈了.
Loy Krathong festival held on Thai lunar Calendar 15th of December each year. The tradition is to pay respect to god of river, and prey for good luck and peace for the coming year. The festival last about 3-4 days. If you plan earlier you can attend the paid Yi Peng festival, you will see thousands of sky lanterns flying on the sky in the same time. And there will be lots of events and parades around the city temples. When we arrived Nanan house, they welcome us with happy faces. And ask us to join the Krathong workshop immediately. All of sudden we are making Krathong with other Chinese tourist. I think we are really lucky to enjoy the festival as local. While we making the Krathong, the host tell us the story of the festival.
水燈的製做是由芭蕉樹榦切斷為基底,然後綴以花朵和芭蕉葉. 將做好的水燈放在河面將厄運送走,揮別過去迎向新的未來. 在一陣手忙腳亂之中完成了自己的水燈. 他們也準備了天燈讓我們可以放真的很貼心. 我們到二樓的平台上,月亮好圓,無限的天燈一直在飛揚. 點燃的天燈隨著熱空氣充足漸漸的飄起, 放手後咻一下就飛到天上去. 伴隨著大家的期許而離開. 放完天燈之後,很忙碌的要去Ping River放我們製做的水燈.
Krathong were made from natural materials, the base is banana tree trunk, crafted into a lotus shape by using folded banana leaves and fresh flowers. Then you will float the Krathong on the river to send away the bad lucks. They also prepared the sky lantern for us, we release out lantern on second floor balcony. The sky is full of flying lanterns with full moon on the side, fill with hot air and gradually the lantern fly to the sky. Carry our wishes for the fore coming year. And now we need to go to Ping river to float our Krathong.
到一樓他們還放了煙火,整個讓我們一次滿足所有天燈節所應該要體驗的活動. 拿著水燈跟著人群往Ping river的方向走, 能感受節慶歡愉的氣氛,還有人帶著改裝車放超大聲的音樂跳舞. 往Ping River的兩邊充斥著滿滿的人,因為正好在遊行. 我可以從人群之中稍微看到一些華麗的花車. 實在是太擠所以我們放棄往Ping river方向改往別的地方去. 想說乾脆去覓食所以往找尋餐廳的方校走. 在小巷中隨意走經過小橋,那家人在水邊搭著一個平台. 他看到我們手中的水燈,就很熱情的說我們可以用他們的平台放. 老伯還很熱心的幫我們差了馨香.就這樣我們在別人家放了水燈.
They also set the firework for us, we experience all the activities for Loy Krathong festival. We carry our Krathong walk toward the Ping river. I can feel the celebration atmosphere fill with happiness and joy. Along the Ping river gather lots of people waiting for parade. Because is way too crowded, so we decide to escape from people. Then we decide to find a restaurant since we haven’t had time for our dinner. We pass through alley and we discover a platform for floating Krathong. The family who build the platform friendly invite us to float our Krathong. They also put the incense stick for us. We successfully float our Krathong wishing for good furtune.
在找餐廳的同時讓我們無意間找到一間啤酒店. 上面掛滿了各式亮燈招牌,還沒吃飯我們就先被吸進去了. 這家店叫My beer friend, Logo是一隻狗頂著一杯啤酒很可愛. 啤酒牆很酷竟然是用鐵皮搭成的,看起來很普通但喝起來很棒! 他們在清邁似乎有幾間分店,我們去到的是My BEER Friend Market分店. 門口進來還有小時候的任天堂遊戲機可以玩. 超喜歡這間店的氛圍,重點是啤酒真的是好喝.
When we looking for restaurant, we accidently run into a beer bar. We are draw into the bar, shining signs hanging on the ceiling. The bar logo is a funny dog with a pint of beer on top. The wall for pulling the beer is really cool, it was built by iron sheet. And we are amazed by the quality of the beer, it tastes great! It seems like they have several branches in Chiang Mai, the one we went is My BEER Friend Market if you google on the map. Beside the entrance they put a retro Nintendo game for customers to play. Highly recommended if you are looking for having some beer in Chiang Mai.
走一走看到一排餐廳,其中一間現炒的看起來蠻吸引人. 看起來不錯就隨意進去吃了, 後來查了這間餐廳名字叫Aroy Dee. 價格很便宜份量足重點是水準也不錯,蠻推薦的. 發現裡面的員工也都很友善,雖然店裡滿滿的人超忙, 他們也很有耐心的替客人服務,即使要等一下我們也不會介意. 飯後來去便利超商買一個他們的養樂多消化一下.
We walk through the bridges, and there are many restaurants. Randomly we chose one of it, surprisingly the food is really tasty. The restaurant name is Aroy Dee, the price is cheap with great portion. And I really like their service, even the restaurant is busy but they are all friendly. After lunch we bought the yogurt to digest our stomach.
回到Nanan house的二樓一個半露天的空間坐著, 天空依舊飄著許多天燈,深深覺得這個景象很不真實. 他們二樓這個空間很棒,旁邊書架上放著各式不同的書. 很適合坐在這裡看書或放空也行,抬頭就可以看到外面的天空. 早上這個空間超漂亮,溫暖的陽光灑進來. 隔日早上他們有準備早餐,還有現煮的蛋料理. 在一樓寬廣的空間吃早餐好悠閒,民宿阿伯還邊跟我們講故事.
When we got back to Nanan house, we sit at the semi out door space. Still there are lanterns flying on the sky, it is a really surreal scene. The shared space on second floor is cozy. You can read the book in here, they have lots of book collection. In the morning, the sun pour in with beautiful lighting. Nanan house provide breakfast and freshly cooked egg on your preference. They also give you suggestions and guidances for the trip.
這裡真的很棒,我們隔日因為要換去住別的地方他們還特地載我們去. 主要是在這裡他們會給你體驗,告訴你清邁的文化和故事. 而不是純粹在這裡住一晚,會給你滿滿的回憶. 下次有機會會在這裡多住幾天, 也推薦給大家來清邁可以來住看看歐.
Even we only stay here for one night, it gives us unforgettable memory. They even drive us to our hostel for next day. I would say Nanan house will give you not only comfortable living space, but also provide you with Chiang Mai culture experience. Sincerely recommend to stay here if you come to Chiang Mai.
