Marni always know how to make the most of the collaboration between fashion and art, the past cooperation include artwork Kim Gorden and Claude Caillol. In the early 2012 Fall Winter Foulard collection, Marni and talented illustrator Brian Rea create unique, youthful look.

Brain Rea, who based in Los Angeles. His is well known of the illustration work on New York Times “Modern Love” column. With his artwork, the story become lively in front your eyes. And he also created lots of drawings, books, poster or music videos as well as doing plenty of collaboration projects with different brands such as Marni, Kate Spade or Honda.

Brain Rea illustration come with T-shirt and Tote bag, cotton t-shirt with stud on shoulders and black strip on the end of sleeve. It matches perfectly with quirky windowpane skirt and plaids pants, folding skirts. As Rea says “ I think Marni as sometimes sweet, sometimes fierce, which is a nice place for all of these stories and emotions to become wearable.”

Apart from Marni X Brain Rea; when I was wondering in Liberty bags area two days ago, this bag totally caught my eyes. The funny burring animals pattern on the top make people smile; this is the collaboration between Marni and Amsterdem based graphic artiest – Rop Van Mierlo, first debut on SS 2013 Milan fashion show.

The watercolour animal graphic come from his book call “ The wild animal”, he said this wild book is for civilized people and a sophisticated book for wild people.

I love how fashion brand start to work with all art worker, sometimes when I look at a beautiful illustration, my first thought will always be it will be great if I can wear it on. Therefore, those brands is making the dream come ture.
