ANNITAN is the brand based in Berlin found by designers – Anne Hilken and Christian Kurt; recently, I found lots of great designers from Berlin or Germany in general. Berlin has become a trendy place to discover new comer designer.
They start their brand with a collaboration project call “ nature & technics”; through doing this collection, they found they had almost the same taste and had a great experience. So they decide to establish a clothing line and take it further, they show their collections twice a year during Berlin, Paris and Tokyo fashion week.
They focus on creating incredible pattern design inspired from art, nature and real life, but also the quality of their material. All the garments are produce at local manufactures by using eco-friendly fabrics. On the other hand, they love the surprising outcome, which they will make some mistake on purpose. Not to follow the non-changing plan, but embracing unexpected result.
Their SS13 collection – Gravity pattern shows different transformation of elements such as circle, curve and bow, in contrast to the straight line. The colour choice is relaxing and gentle, combine seamlessly with the “doodle” sketches. Additionally, they collaborate with a Swedish shoe manufacturer, come up with a basic wooden sandal.
