I can’t believe I don’t know this outstanding Indian designer – Manish Arora, he is a fashion designer based in New Delhi.

He started his fashion career by launching his own label “Manish Arora” in 1997 and second sport style line label “Fish Fry” in 2002. He raised his fame in the first debut at London fashion week in 2005, and his show becomes the inevitable, which everyone will lay their eye on it.

The reason I love his design is because of the colour palette, sophisticated traditional embellish, embroidery decoration on his design. Combining the modern silhouettes shape into Indian handcraft technique, creating the look by mixing Eastern and Western culture elements.

He does lots of collaboration with brands such as Swatch, Happy socks, Reebok etc. And so does pop star like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry.

In his SS2013 collection, it wonderful represents how he transform Indian tradition garment into lively modern look. No exception there are highly baroque embellishment fabric come across the Kurta tunics and angrakha dress. Using pastel colour on traditional Zardozi creating vivid dizzying look.  And we can see there is lots of golden jewellery decorates on the head, and bangle on the wrist. He cooperate with a fine jewel brand – Amrapali, it combines the ancient and contemporary together. Even the accessories, Arora want to stick with his core idea of spreading out Indian cultire.

Moreover, facial illustration on the coat, futuristic pattern. Every season, he always gives people new thing and fresh design. Looking forward to his 2013 winter collection.
